Quarter Bath

We have a beautiful new Kohler toilet in the bathroom. The Tile Guy joked that it is a 1/4 bath -- no sink, no tub/shower, just a crapper. It is his wife's birthday today. The Tile Guy is so dedicated to his job that he stopped by after her birthday dinner to install a hose thingy that was just an inch longer than the one he attempted to install earlier this afternoon. We are now cleaning the upstairs like mad in preparation for our guests. Something tells me that the Jamaican Aqua is going to have to wait a week.

We invested in a microfiber mop and dust towels because we have so much hardwood. We also rely pretty heavily on dry and wet swiffers. All of these devices are meant to increase the ease of the cleaning process. Much easier than lugging a vacuum around. But cleaning still sucks...hard. I particularly hate removing grime from our baseboards. It is my personal dream to have a housekeeper come in once per week to attack the baseboards and light fixtures and those nasty areas behind the toilet. Ugh...and our window blinds, too! But I think that even house cleaners put their feet down when it comes to windows.
