The Guest speaks out

Daddy has been invited to contribute a guest column to The Mama's blog. Hmm, where to start...Tonight Kara beat us all in chinese checkers, me by just two turns. This mainly happened because I lost sight of my marbles, which were virtually identical to Kara's. And she was luckier. Had to get that off my chest, now I feel better. My parents and our cousin from Spain arrived today. We took them all to see the Salem Avalanche, the local single A baseball team. That's about as American as apple pie, so I feel good that we exposed her to some of our culture. Tonight she'll sleep in a place that was designed to house a servant, also a delightful aspect of our culture. The minivan, love of my life after Kara and the critters, was instrumental in hauling all of us over to Salem. Hats off to Chrysler, and the Motor City for their role in the creation of the minivan. Well, I should keep my guest column apolitical, so I guess there's nothing left to say. Goodnight. Peace on earth.
