Back in the Saddle Again
Yesterday, the plumbers returned. Our plumbing job has turned into such a production that it has been turned over the renovation team, which is headed by the Master Plumber's son. Marissa has been our plumbing liason. She and Theo picked up Joel and me for lunch and layed out the bad news. (You mean it can get worse?) We were given three options: 1) rip open the diningroom wall between the kitchen and diningroom to get at key pipes; 2) reroute pipes through the kitchen leaving them exposed and then build a wall around the PVC pipes; or 3) take down the bookshelves in the office, open the wall in the office and reroute the pipes through there. Options #2 and #3 prevent us having to re-wallpaper the diningroom. Randy, you can stop wincing now. Option #3 was never a consideration. Joel and I have elected option #1. The way we look at it, we already have to re-do the diningroom ceiling. Might as well re-do the wallpaper, too.

You might as well replace all the old wiring you find also
Randy
Remember when you wanted to remove the wall between the kitchen and dining room?
Mom
They are just going to make a small hole. They are not going to tear down the whole wall!!
