Dribblets

Tonight, I made Jason and Leanne's Thai Peanut Curry recipe. Joel enjoyed it so much that he broke out the "sweat towel". It was so spicy that he was sweating buckets and required a kitchen towel to mop up the dribblets running down his face every other bite. I enjoyed it too (had two helpings), but I am genetically modified to handle this type of spice without sweating or requiring gallons of water to wash it down. Marissa ate spaghetti. That's a Lithuanian for ya.

Speaking of dribblets, Theo has been drooling so much that he leaves a trail behind him when he crawls. If you pick him up and then set him down, he leaves a Theo-print on your shirt. Because he has a cold, he also leaves snot. If you are really lucky, like me, he will yak on you. He did that in the minivan last night. I sprayed resolve on the seats as soon as we got home because it was an odiferous yak. Unfortunately, the minivan is still stinky so we are going to have to try more aggressive methods for removing the odor. Theo enjoys yak. I think he does it on purpose so that he can mash his hands in it, spread it around in a semi-circle around himself and then wipe it all over his chest and hair...faster than you can say "YAK!" and grab a papertowel. I think that he has been timing himself.

LOL. For some reason I can picture Joel with a sweat towel. I'm glad you liked it. Out of curiousity, how many tablespoons of curry paste did you use?

Odifurous yak... lol.

3 Tbsp for a double batch. I should have gone for 1 Tbsp for a double batch so that Aidan and Marissa could eat it!! Also, we were forced to use dried lemongrass that I had on hand b/c I never made it around to the Asian food mart. Will try again with less curry paste and fresh lemon grass. Please pass on more recipes!!
