Prize Winning Chicken

I'm going to kick-start this week's Blog Series with a re-cap of Halloween.

As some of you are aware, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa recently toured Roanoke along with Marissa's parents. They showed up last Friday evening while Joel and I were attending a YCMA costume party with the kids. It was a candy-crazed event, as expected. The highlight of the party was a costume contest. Theo won "Funniest Costume". The next day, we took the boys to Zoo Boo at Mill Mountain Zoo. This pictures shows the boys staring intently at some wild animals. The next picture shows the actual beasts that captivated Theo's attention for more mintues than any other zoo attraction. I have reason to suspect that it was because Theo recognized his own kind -- noisy, white, domesticated farm bird.
